From our beginnings, Pro Musica has championed arts education as a core component of our mission.

Each year, national and international musicians come to Joplin for our Chamber Series, but also to partner with Joplin public schools for Arts Education workshops, often also engaging with area private schools and homeschool networks.

We also facilitate an Annual Education Residency that impacts every 5th grade music student in the Joplin School District.

An annual Masterclass with Missouri Southern State University gives students a personalized exploration of high-level craft.

Bach-A-Bye Baby, in partnership with the Joplin Library, is targeted towards children 5-and-under and their caregivers.

Community performances at assisted living centers, hospitals, domestic violence shelters as well as adventurous presentations in coffee shops, restaurants, and outdoors bring chamber music to those who aren’t able to attend public concerts.
