nordic 2A six-voice (3 female, 3 male) a cappella ensemble based in Oslo, Norway, Nordic Voices is acclaimed for the depth of its programming and extraordinary vocal skills. Nordic Voices made a quick sensation in international vocal circles and is now acknowledged as a leader of the a cappella art form. Now expanding into collaborations, they perform a repertoire ranging from the medieval to the contemporary. They performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall on its U. S. tour last year.

While in Joplin the group will present one lecture/demonstration at Corley Auditorium, Webster Hall, Missouri Southern State University at 1:00 p.m.  The public is invited to this event.

The MSSU Chamber Singers, led by Dr. David Sharlow, will present a pre-concert at 6:30 p.m.

The concert is open to the public at no charge – donations appreciated.
